Over the holiday break, we decided to begin to up our pizza game by taking a class at King Arthur Baking in Norwich, VT. All four of us went (Eric and I plus our two grown kids) as a family outing. What fun we had! Not only did we learn that measuring ingredients by weight vs volume is better (we didn’t know!) and the best way to stretch dough to get a thin crust – we also came home with 8 pizzas and 4 balls of semolina dough.

King Arthur Baking is an amazing day trip from our camp location. Not only do they have lots of classes to choose from (but you’ll have to sign up early because they fill up quickly) they have a bakery and retail store where you can buy every kind of flour imaginable. And as an employee owned company, they are a favorite of ours.

This will keep us motivated to build our outdoor pizza oven this summer! And to keep practicing at home during the winter. You can never have enough pizza!
